What I like

The Car:

• • Classic Mercedes build quality

  • Luxury options that make the car feel more modern, while maintaining a classic feel. 

The Spec:

These are easy to find these in blacks and silvers, but finding something more special like Black Opal Metallic makes this a much more appealing car for people outside of retirement in South Florida. Paired with the Light Ash interior, your bum shouldn't burn on those hot days with the top down.

The Price:
$7,499 at writing

These cars can be found all over the map with regards to history, condition, and price. Finding a desirable color combination, low miles, and clean history, with a price towards the bottom of the market makes this car a great buy.

The Spec
Auburn Metallic is a great color that matches the rugged spirit of the Cayenne. While I usually trend towards dark/black interior options, sometimes the paint commands a lighter color, and Luxor beige works perfectly here to heighlight the rootbeer exterior.

The Price:
Auction, $15,500 at writing

While this Cayenne's auction is ongoing, the vehicle itself is a great proposition for an interesting option in a sea of 4 cylinder CUVs.

The Spec
Here at The Driver's Consultant, the Camry is thought of as pure transportation. A car doesn't need to be special to be important, but it does need to be good. Legendary reliability, low maintenance, low cost of ownership, all make the Toyota Camry the legend it is today. Sure you may not be having a lot of impromptu conversations with strangers at the gas pump, but with only 23,000 miles, this car will get you from point A to B without fuss for as long as you ask of it.

The value proposition is huge. A new base model Honda Civic will set you back 3 times this price, and while you may have the comfort of a warranty, modern engine tech has proven it can be finicky for the long haul. This car is as basic as it gets, and that's what makes it special.
